Tuna e Hoe Ana

Every year our club holds a race regatta, Tuna e Hoe Ana, in the stunning alpine setting of Nelson Lakes National Park.

The regatta features a series of races on Lake Rotoiti, renowned for its fat eels (or tuna in Maori) and backdrop of bush and mountains.

The event includes races for W1s, W2s, W6s and stand-up paddle boards, over 5, 10 and 20km. The waka ama races are in a relay format, which allows crews to change paddlers during the race.
